Best lures for Tailor
Submitted by Ashen on Sat, 2015-11-07 10:00
Hi guys
I have always used mulies on ganged hooks when fishing for tailor. This year however, I would like to try lures. Which lures have proven to be successful?

Thanks mate. I sometimes forget that we have a "search" function! Haha
I fish from a boat and usually fish late arvos, about an hour before the sun goes down. Best time IMO for tailor fishing!

Crystal 3D minnow or
Crystal 3D minnow or Saltwater X-rap 10cm in glass ghost are my favourites.
Remove the trebles and chuck a 4/0 single on the back hook. Seems a bit big but high hookup rate and hard for them to throw

I use bomber lures in green. They work well from the boat.

Pflueger Reels
Hey mate,
We do stock a variety of Pflueger and Finnor reels, unfortunately we dont currently have those particular reels in store, however we have plenty of Pflueger Salt 40's that I'd highly recommend. They are a verrryy solid reel, full metal body, carbon fiber drag washers and cant be betten for the price.
Edit - P.s we can order the pflueger Trion swx reel from our supplier and have it here within 3 days, Feel free to send us a PM or drop in store for more details.
cheers
