Becoming a SW fisho again

Well moving back to our own home in Mandurah, with me becoming a FIFO.
So days off will be down there again.
Just a couple of points I am confused with. Is the closure for the sound only, or is this the start off the full demersal ban.
Can you fish for Kg's, whiting, skippy etc.
I can look this up but thought I would ask.

Sorry to hear your coming back to reality Neels.... lol. Seriously mate great to know that we may be able to catch up finally, i think i may owe you a beer or 2 or maybe a bottle of your fav :) You have been a great help to us in a bad situation so i look forward to meeting you.
