beach launch cape range np exmouth

I am looking for info on beach launching in the cape range national park Exmouth. I will be up there for a couple of weeks camping in the NP and a mate is thinking of towing my boat up there to meet us. I am doing a trip up to the Kimberley area and as its not a fishing trip as such I am taking my camping trailer. We will be hopefully camping at Osprey Bay which is down the southern end. I have a 4.85 trailcraft and would like to beach launch it and then more it off the beach. I think from memory I have seen boats launched at pilgramana (spelling) which isnt too far north from Osprey.
Any info on this will be greatly appreciated.
Brad

Pretty rocky at Pilgramulla
We used to take a savage snipe - only 12'6'' - and carry it into any of the access points we wanted - much harder with a 4.85 unless there is at least four of you - the smaller boat was plenty big enough to catch fish all the way up to sails and marlin. (Our favourite area was Halby Bank accessed through what we used to call half moon bay just outside the park.) Much of the vehicle access to the beach has been limited by poles installed as barriers across entries and they take a real dim view of cross country / dune access.
Pilg bay was one of the few you could regularly catch horse NW snapper and huge, if you could stop them, venus tusk fish from the small rocky point to the left of the bay - only shallow but comes alive early and at dusk

wet
Be prepared to get your car wet at Pilgs, got to go a fair way back over the rocks some days to get her in and to retrieve depending on the tides, very good fishing out the back though!

Thanks Adam
Thanks for that Adam, any other sugestiions? I was hoping not to have to go up to tandi from the south of the park. Have also heard that you can launch at Neds camp but this is quite a bit furthur north. Can you motor down all the way inside the reef? I hope to moor the boat off the beach at osprey camp site. Are there breaks all along the reef where you can get outside?
thanks Brad

If you want to moor the boat
If you want to moor the boat at Osprey just launch at Pilgrumunna on a high tide (real easy) and motor to Osprey. I've seen boats launched at Osprey itself but I never would- too hard.
Neds is 5nm south of Tantabiddi but still a soft beach launch, if I was driving up that way I'd just lanuch at Tantas to save the potential hassle.
As for reef gaps, there is a big one at Pilgs, plus some smaller others in the area.
