Ha Ha . They sound realy smart  . South east winds + North wall of Hillary's + Helium balloon = disaster !

Last year had a guy send a balloon out from Mindaries on a very busy Sunday. He sent it out about 300m ( near the entrance ) then started yelling at every boat coming in and out. He threw rocks , yelled abuse , and generaly made an ass of himself. Dont know how long he stayed there, probally left when he ran out of balloons. LOL .

I'm not against balloon fishing , ( i do it myself ) I just think there is the right way to go about it .  ie : avoid boat traffic as much as posible .

Sail boat wave at us and went around our balloon  which was nice, THen a hour later turn around and went stright at our balloons on there way out to sea

If a hook rip a sail Thay would be $2000 dollars or more down,  We did pull them in from 500m out to about 150m So we are not total clowns

 Baloons launched from the

Baloons launched from the beach NOR are sometimes right in the spots where boaties get livyes from before going out further in search for Macks and Sambo's.

They try hard not to run through any fishing lines, but when sinkers are being aimed at boat all bets are off and some have plenty of stuff on board to damage cars & windscreens very accuratly if need be.

Luckily almost all beach fishers are excelent and give a friendly wave while boats circle around their set up and both have a relaxing time on or near the water.
