Baking A Snapper

Evening all, I caught a lovely fat 3kg Snapper in the Sound this arvo, and he has an urgent date with the Weber Q (gas). We have stuffed him and wrapped him in foil, but I need some advice please on heat setting and cooking time? Is ten mins per kg about right? Full bore or a lower heat setting? Any help very much appreciated!!!

( Mis-posted in Hezzy's thread, will try and delete that one!)

Score it deep in the thicker shoulder areas and go for 10min per KG.

Check it after 20min by unwrapping and looking in the thickest part and make a final call then. Over cooking is worse than under cooking.

Have a good feed.

Merv

Thanks Merv! What heat level on the Weber Q you reckon? Half heat? Start off pre-heating at full noise then put it on and back it off to half and cook for the duration you suggest?
