Azusa APS902H PE4-6

Just chasing some feedback on the Azusa rods. In particular the APS902H PE4-6.

Anyone tested this rod off the rocks up north? How did it perform?

Cheers

Yep agreed with snappermiles. The rods are pretty light and have a solid backbone so they should fare well from the rocks. I think you can also choose which butt section you want for some of their models so that might be worth checking out. Ive got the AES682M (6-10kg) model paired up with a Stella 5000 and that can handle most of the fish around Perth. If you want to get a feel for the rods, head down to Bluewater Tackle off Leach highway and speak to Brendan and he'll point you in the right direction. They have a pretty decent range of the Asuza rods down there so you'll be able to try bream rods all the way up to their popping rods.

I have just ordered a 802X

I have just ordered a 802X for ultra heavy spinning and a 902H for medium/heavy with saltiga 6500H and 5000H.

Ill be using both rods up in Quobba chasing mackeral and other pelagics.

I have loaded both up and was very surprised at how much power each of these rods have. I would say that the 902H has been underrated.

Exactly as Shane has said, take your reel into any bluewater store and have a play.

good rod

Ive got one pretty happy with it, was pulling up pinkies and baldies up at steep on the south cliffs last year when other rods like sensor surfs and ugly sticks were getting smoked on similar line,

heaps of power.

I have a PE1-3 (15-30lb )for my bottom bouncing setup, I caught a 7-8ft Grey Nurse of rotto the other week, of around 80kg at a guess and it loved it.. i love seeing this rod loaded up and pushing it to its limits....

I would recommend my model for sure!!
