If nothing for Sat'day night do you reckon Friday will be any different. Unless someone lives close to you I don't think to many Fisho's are going to travel to far to pick you up. Like you have been advised before Secert's has a few good spots if you put the effort in that ya say ya do you'll start getting results.

when i was your age pdu i used to ride a pushy 25km each way to go for a fish just about every saturday and sunday with all my gear strapped on .mind you back 27 years ago it was easier to get a feed than it is now

Ill have to agree as I fish down this way too and the beaches have been VERY quiet down here lately, I have also put a few hours in over the last few months for little reward so its not just you pom. Plenty of big whiting and herring though.
