Anyone fish metro sunday?

We did a short stint on the 3 mile.....everything against us, tide, middle of the day, extremely green and turbid water. Fished soft plastics for a few hours till the sea breeze stormed in for a rather predictable very average day, just a few Bakers released.
Interested to hear if anyone else went out and if they had any success in the dirty post storm water, bait or artificials?

I went out sunday afternoon
We figured 3 mile would be a bit rough, so instead decided to go out to cockburn sound.
Apparently 50 other boats had the same idea. This is what it looked like when we got there:
Caught a couple of pike and a squid, but didn't manage to get any snapper.
There was one boat in the middle of the crowd that somehow managed to pull up 2 decent sized snapper, but didn't see anyone else getting any.

Just imagine the burley slick
Just imagine the burley slick from that lot. No wonder the sharks are attracted
If I spent half as long fishing , as I do reading this bloody forum , I'd be twice the fisherman I am.

There was a huge burley slick
There was a huge burley slick comming off all the boats.
I think the crabs were having a field day. The minute my bait hit the bottom I could feel them picking at it.

I did the same
Headed out around 330 to the D9, we counted 52 boats.
They came through just on sun set, but only a small area of boats hooked up from what i could see.

tailor
Headed out at 4.30pm for a reef bash with grayzee & picked up a few good sized tailor on plastics. Interesting that twistys didn't produce a bite, all on plastics. Bloody freezing with the wind & in on sundown
