just got back from the abrolhos got some bottom fish and only 1 squid.
i wanna get back into squid here
has there been any around shore based?

there was quite a few around
there was quite a few around last week in the usual areas (cockburn sound, rocko, fremantle, hillaries etc) but this week due to the rough conditions and the water being quite churned up i'd say you may struggle a bit to find them. you never know though, maybe try in some more sheltered waters or just wait for the weather to clear up a bit.

squid
went about two weeks ago to cockburn sound and cleaned up with and orange yozuri. there are plenty around garden island over the weed and then if you go past mewstones we went over to the beach and got a few, that should save you from the w/s w winds

plenty squid between these
plenty squid between these locations, GPS positions are, 57 degrees 43 minutes 11.78 seconds N 3 degrees 18 minutes 35.95 seconds W 57 degrees 41 minutes 49.66 seconds N 2 degrees 01 minute 03.22 seconds W there is absolute bucket loads in that area, best method of catching is anyway you like. Jim.
