All set and ready to go
Since getting the new boat we have only had the chance to use it only a few times (due to work commitments and the weather) so thought I would spend some time setting it up to suit our needs.
Started off as just a re-carpeting job and ended up replacing all electronics (Pulled out the original Navman gear and replaced with GME 27mhz and VHF radios including new aerials). Installed Lowrance GPS and Eagle GPS/Sounder combo. Fitted FM/MP3 player and speakers. Installed 2nd battery and re-wired. Replaced rod holders and fitted extra's and a new bait board and rocket launcher. And had to fit the required extra drink holders . Name and new rego stickers fitted (Thanks to Tracey at Wet Ink Designs for the supply). Boat went in this week for fitting of clears.
Decided to do some trailer maintenance last weekend (bearings) and ended up replacing brake pads, brake cable and fitting submersible LED lights due to cracks in the original ones.
Probably missed a few things but only posting this as I am babysitting the grand daughter while mum and nanna are out partying and things are a bit boring (and just uploaded boat pics to my server) as grand daughter has been asleep for hours .
Cheers,
David

Clears
Clears were $680 fitted plus an extra $100 to get the beading replaced around the original bimini to match.
Got them done at Just Covers in Balcatta and happy with the outcome.
I see you are also in Heathridge. If you want to pop around and have a look let me know and I'll PM you my details and details for Just Covers.

Rocket launchers
Thesupervisor, the bimini is original and the launchers are an add on.
Bought them online from The Cover Guys over east. Click here for details.
Cost me $92 delivered. I have a small set that I purchased incorrectly that are to suit a 1.5 to 1.7mtr wide bimini which will be going up for sale soon for $90. I needed the 1.8 to 2.0mtr ones.

Name
The name is what the grandkids call me (Long story and I'm not really a Grumpy Old Fart LOL).
Didn't get out due to some sore heads in the household this morning... Not mine this time!!! No Sympathy.
Got next Friday off so hopefully will be out then as we have family commitments on Sat and Sun.

Renaming the boat
Rossco.... If you want to rename your boat and are worried about invoking the wrath of the gods
. Have a look here ... may help but might be easier buying a boat without a name LOL.
Funny thing is if you see a little orange runabout with the name "Dagree" it's because the buyer of our first boat was superstisious about removing the name. I offered to remove it before he picked it up but declined.
