What is the price of them? I'd also be a bit suss on the drag specs, I'd like to see anybody hang on to 30kg of drag. I looks a little like a Dogfight but I'm sure without the Dogfight price tag.

These are available at Angler's Spot I believe for about 299ish

I was looking at these specs and ended up getting the Daiwa Saltist 6500H Spinning reel for the same price. It also has a 30kg (claimed) drag.  Also the 6500H has a much higher gear ratio (6.1 i think??)...

Have a look at the thread on GT Popping regarding these fishing masterpieces, and I think you'll come up with your answer!!

few fish

I'm doing some work with the guy who imports the Wahoo and have been using one a bit through the jigging season and IMO they're pretty good value for money. Retail price is around $280ish, can't remember exactly.

What I can comment on: - in store the drag has been loaded up to 22kg and held its own (the guys doing it didn't have the strength to get any more out of it); they need some grease after purchase as they're a bit light on (not the first reel to be in this situation); the line specs are a lot better than specified - I've got 300m of PE6 and 100m of 50lb mono on mine (specs have PE6 at 260m).

Can't comment on their longevity as they've been in the country for less than six months.

We've pulled up some nice fish on it and have also got some feedback from other anglers using them. Didn't get any horses jigging this season but those we did get gave an idea of the drag and it was fine... the ones we got were 10-15kg.

These pics below are from a session we had a month or two back. Also got some good feedback from some guys who took them to Quobba at the end of last year and while the fishing wasn't as hot as it can be the reel was still given a good workout on bottom species and large sharks. The guys using them were stoked with how they went.
