Looking like another active trading period this year with 3 WA boys wanting to come home including Matera, Fasolo and Wilson. Sound like Matera is a lock for Freo to replace Ballas and Faz is keen to get to West Coast to replace Lecras but I really want to see West Coast make a big play for Wilson as the kid is lightning fast and has a long accurate kick which is exactly what we need and we can then afford to play Yeo and Duggan through the middle.
Reports are that the Saints and Hawks are circling around the contracted Gaff who is due to become a free agent in 2018 with the Saints have picks 7 and 8 and the Hawks having picks 32 and 42. As soft as he is I’m a big fan of Gaff but if he doesn’t want to sign a contract extension now and commit beyond 2018 then we may as well move him on whilst we can dictate the terms. Now that Acres is off the table and if the Saints offered up their pick 7 and 8 in exchange for Gaff and our pick 13 then then the club would have to give it some serious consideration. This would also free up salary cap space for a crack at Coniglio/David Swallow/Jack Martin/Patrick Cripps/Jesse Hogan in a couple of years.
Masten… now what do we do with Chris Masten who is mystifyingly contracted until 2019? We may have to package him up with our pick 13 just to get rid of him.

A little bit of googling paints a pretty clear picture of the boy.....
Boning a 17yr old while his missus was about to have his 2nd child was one story that came up, I cant see the dogs getting very much for him, if he pulls his head in he'll be a very cheap gun player i'm thinking....

Ablett to Geelong will be an interesting move, they wont get him cheap and you'd want to see him playing more than he has been to warrant the move!

Mate. Gabju is still a legend. After he copped a roasting from the media at the start of the season he turned on the afterburners and blew his opposition away until he got injured again with little to no support from his team mates.
With Danger, Jelwood, Scooter, Menagola, Guthrie and Duncan in the guts you can afford to play Gabju as a permanent high forward flank. I shudder at the thought and would have him at West Coast in an instant.

Motlop heading to GC so i guess that will be part of the Ablett deal, Motlop will fit in well at the fumbling GC....

Rated Crozier higher than pick 40.. I know they are trying to free up options for Wilson to come in but not sure about that one. He'll be the type of player that will probably improve and we'll wish we kept him.
