try!
Had a mate live and fish up there, going on what he did. He'd baitcast mulies at the Crayfactory where the pipe spits all the crap out and would do alright on tailor. The bottom is baron and only whiting and herring etc.
Just run a gang hook say three 3/0 or 4/0 depending on the size of the mulie, cut the tail off to eliminate spinning and have a short bit of wire and then tie your main line to the swivel on the wire!
Not much but hope it helps!

RE: Gero fish
Hello Davey, I lived in Geraldton for awhile and caught a few nice mulloway and a lot of reasonable tailor around the groynes near the crayfish factory. The mulloway were particularly hungry just before and after dark. Mulies on gangs were the favoured baits, with as little lead as possible. You did not have to cast too far as the mulloway appeared to be cruising close to the rocks looking for food. The tailor were generally caught a bit further out. If you happen to catch a few tailor, cut a fillet on one and cast it out for the muloway. They love it.
The main Geraldton wharf was also good for big mulloway, but they tended to come on later in the night.

nice place to fish there ...
nice place to fish there ... picked 3 dhufish and 2 cobia off the rocks and the usual amount of tailor and herring over the years . i used to fish very early mornings before starting work as a grader in the cray factorys . heaps of sharks of around 4 foot at sunset too in summer. live tailor under a balloon was allways fun for action.
