Advice on 2000 size reel options..

Hey guys, looking at getting a 2000 sized Daiwa reel in the next few weeks. Just wondering what the best options are at the moment. Will be used for freshwater, Bream and the up coming snapper season. The ones iv been having a close look at are the Sol, Caldia, Tierra or the Advantage. Just wondering if anyone has any feedback on these? Also I'll be after a matching rod so any advice on that would be great to.

Thanks in advance.

I have two Daiwa reels in

I have two Daiwa reels in that ballpark, a Bradia 2500R with 15lb for jigging, and a 2500 Caldia Kix '10 with 8lb for squidding (and small tuna).

I really hate the handle on the Caldia, Sol, Tierra etc for more than about 8lb, its too flexy.

I just bought a caldia 2000

I just bought a caldia 2000 off ebay $185 landed thought i got a bargain but bcf have em for $199. Know nothing about em apart from they look good and seem like a sol but less the roller bearing, not %100 sure about that tho. Depends how much you want to spend, you can get a tierre landed for about $140 i think. (this is the 09/10 model caldia i believe theres a new model coming out with a few upgrades soon). I will add this tho, i've been looking at aftermarket parts for the reel and in the end its probly cheaper to buy a reel $50/$100 more expensive with things such as shallow/finesse spool and neo knob rather than trying to add them later. Finesse spools $100+ and neo knobs around $50. A Fuego was suggested to me as alternative and has a spare spool and a few higher end bits on it for around $300.

Happy reel hunting.

Just found a Fuego for $250

Just found a Fuego for $250 including postage so ill have a close look at that. Thanks for your response Till, I already have a few 2500's so I'm pretty keen to get a 2000 just to make my freshwater fishing a little more challenging. The Sol in the 2500 is an awesome reel, caught some bloody good fish on it so Im looking pretty close at the Sol 2000 as well.
