I would thoroughly recommend
I would thoroughly recommend you take a good test run.
They say there are 2 types of barcrusher owners. Those that own them, love them. Those that used to own them, hate them.
Does anyone know where the love of god goes, when the waves turn the minutes to hours?

Johno have ridden in both
Johno have ridden in both Surtees and Bar crushers of 6.7 and up.
They are still a tinny mate no comparison on a glass boat of that size for ride.

Yeh i looked at the Asult
Yeh i looked at the Asult weapon that your looking at, looks like a very very tidy rig and i really like them. But its the price of a fully custom new boat.Only 280L of fuel, no dice for me !!
But they look nice!

I have a 7.6 sea rider ali
I have a 7.6 sea rider ali ,I upgraded from a haines 635 .sea riders are good in the water but as said will never give you the ride of glass .BUT you will never get the room and storage on a glass boat of the same size.I think the bar crushers and surtrees are to narrow ,I would not like to spend 4 days at the Abrolhos with 4 people three kyakas and 16 dive bottles,I can do it in comfort on the sea rider.

+1 Agree totally
Getting closer to the Abrolhos time Paul.. ;-)
Our 7.6mtr Stagg rides very well in rough conditions, a lot better than some of the glass boats I have been on..
I've spent half my life fishing.. The other half I have wasted..

What is the beam of your boat
What is the beam of your boat Paul ? 2.7m ? The barcrusher is a touch under 2.5m and i am thinking myself if i go down the overwidth route or not.
There is a lot more of that size boat under 2.5m beam now!
(Not that its that bad anymore if your under 2.7m with being able to tow at night )

Mine is 2.7 wide .yes good
Mine is 2.7 wide .yes good to ge able to tow at night ,but can be draining when towing on narrow roads like between leeman and the brand .shit of a road. dose my head in. Getting a permit is easy.

Yeh fair enough even at 2.5m
Yeh fair enough even at 2.5m mines pretty wide but yeh i agree the extra 200mm on long trips would make a big difference! Yeh not worried about a permit.Just always wanted to tow at night !
