3 Mile today - Hammer Head Shark

Burleyed up by accident a 1.5M hammer head shark at the 3 mile today and it circled the boat three times came that close could of gaffed it but wasn't game....... plenty of rays and small bottom reef fish but I'm still awaiting to catch my first snapper or dhuie

hammer head
had the same thing happen to me this morning out on the three mile, was only about 3ft long tho and stayed about 10m fron the boat so couldnt get a gd photo or it. didnt manage any snapper either, just a few sambos.

i was in 12 meters of water,
i was in 12 meters of water, nah didnt jig for them, just using whole squid as bait. They were all between 70-90cm long.

had a three footer around the boat out the back of GI oldest boy had him hooked for about 10mins not bad we were rigded for sandies

we had a 2.5m - 3m hammerhead
hanging around the back of the boat last year at exmouth.
Unfortunately it didn't hang around long enough for us to get a bait out to him.
