Unless you want to barter... Good luck there. A bit like me bartering for Deisel. Oils aint oils. You get what you pay for.

for a good oil in the 5 ltr

for a good oil in the 5 ltr you can pay up to around the $130 mark. most motors will have an oil reccommendation on them. you can get some cheap stuff but like auto oil, you only get what you pay for. shitty motor use cheap oil , great motor go the better stuff

Thanks boys - that's exactly what I was after - indicative prices (not a philosophy of life!). LOL.

My local fuel agent reckons he can do a TCW-3 oil for $35.00 (for 5 litres) but he's not open on a Saturday and I'm too busy to get around there during the week - so BCF it is (as much as I f...k...g hate dealing with them) they ARE open on Saturdays!

Thanks again.

Stick to the brand

I think that sticking to the brand of Engine's recommended oils you cant go wrong. Mercury  outboard use Mercury Oil  its that simple . especially if there is a Warranty to claim.

Oils aint Oils
