It's an amazing spot, with the rainforest meeting the reef, and the drop offs so extreme. We didn't have a sounder on the long boats, but the resort operators said they drop away radically quick to about 300m and then shelve away to over 1000m. Big blue marlin had been hooked around the area we were trolling...freaky stuff. Great place for a holiday.

This is the accomodation....right on the water in the lagoon....$1500 including flights for a week

Very similar setting to Madang. I will search the old photo albums and try and post a few PNG pics for those interested in heading up there. Awesome place, full of great memories, both good and bad.
