Its not a dusky morwong Sand Snapper thats what i call them menopaul reckons there alright (MUM AND DAD FISH) caught my first one at Kalbarri the guy in the shop said sand snapper works for me

Yeh after having a proper look at the fish Paul in your pic and having a quick read of my species book it says it's an adult painted sweetlip by the looks and they go silver in their adult stages!
I caught one a very long time ago and geez it went hard, back then we also called it a sand snapper morwong!

nice catch paul,i have also caught a few of them sand snapper at kalbarri,i always release them,have heard they are not that good on the chew,but yea fight all the way up,that bauldie looks like a cracker!!
