Which PE (braid) line is best for jigging?

1) Which PE line is everyone using for sambo jigging this year?
-Shimano is all about 'PowerPro' both in and outside Japan. Has anyone used it yet?
-Any tried and tested PE lines you have and are using?
2) I need a fresh spool of PE for my Spheros 14000FA.
-Can I go up to 80lb so I don't keep losing jigs due to line rubbing from other fisho's on a charter?
3) Which PE line would you recommend for my Stella 4000 for inshore light jigging?
Thanks for any info,
Dasho

hmmmm, line choice
very subjective! my thoughts.....
1) haven't tried power pro although I have read that it is reasonably thin for its breaking poundage, relatively inexpensive but there are nicer braids out there. For jigging I have varivas big one PE5 (78lb) on my Accurate and 80lb Daiwa Accudepth on my stella 20000FA. I am soon to load up a spare spool for the Stella with 100lb Jerry Brown hollow core.
2) I ran 80lb whiplash pro on my Spheros 14000FA with no problems. I think most of the charters run 80lb on theirs also? I don't think you'll have an issue running 80lb. You could buy the varivas line i have on my accurate, but it is thin so I'd recommend something a bit thicker (particularly if you are on charters a bit) so it is a little more resistant to breaking and line cuts.
3) I'd say PE2/3 maybe - varivas big one 48lb PE3, something like that?

ppro
I like ppro on spinners for casting lures. I would consider medium thickness. Not all PE are same diameter. Not too expensive. Shimmy recommends ppro of naturally since it has rights to ppro in Asia.
Whiplash is thinner and I guess you'd get better capacity, but I don't like it for casting lures, too soft and like the name says you'll get whiplashed and it's a mess. Spool it at the shop as it's hard to get it packed manually. Better for putting on a multiplier for bottom.
Varivas is the best compromise, but prohibitively expensive. Lays nice, is pretty thin and just the right suppleness. However this brand has many variants that get a little confusing. Seems everyone puts this on their stella.
A lot of guys in my neck of the woods buy JB line in bulk as the best compromise for jigging on an overhead.
