Weed warning

Anyone planning to some landbased fishing over the next few days may want to think about fishing somewhere that is not normally affected by weed.
Sherbs and I went for a fish last evening and it was "seaweed soup" from City Beach and Hillarys - and probably beyond.

Thanks for the info. You can just win, can you? First it was bad weather, now it’s weed which doesn’t seems to go away.![Frown Frown](/sites/all/modules/tinymce/tinymce/jscripts/tiny_mce/plugins/emotions/images/smiley-frown.gif)

Yes, Sherbs and I were not happy to find
a spot where there had been lots of tailor being caught just full of weed. I was hoping that the weed would have started disappearing by now, but this weeks blow has just made it worse.

Anyone tried a float
We used to use a leadbeater (polystyrene) float off the beach when the weed was real bad and used to do well with salmon and snook (SA) ----------just a thought as i have never seen it tried here.

The weed was mostly floating on the surface Sunshine
So we wern't having too much of an issue with the weed grabbing our baits or sinkers, but it was wrapping itself all along the line. You would bring your line in and it would look like a clothes line.

Weed
I went landbased yesterday and this morning at spots between Bouvard and Safety Bay could not find a spot where the weed is not tangling around my line.
A big mess

Keg of Beer required...
I may need to load up some extra goodies this Sunday. If it's that bad when I get to the weekend office then I need something else to do... I have the BBQ plate in the back as a standard part of my attire.
