Gday,
Does anyone know of a quick/easy way to add waypoints to a Lowrance HDS-m5 from a peice of paper?
Is there som sort of template available I can type the coordinates into using a computer and transfer them on SD card.
I have found all sorts of programs on the net but cant seem to get any of them working????? Anyone know of a simple template?
Cheers

How many do you have?
Not a big deal to manually enter them, i've personally put in hundreds, on a HDI, manually taken off my C-Plot PC

Do you an option to back them up from your old sounder and save them to a micro SD card?

yeah..... I can type them in and load them on to a SD card, but I dont know what format or program to use so the GPS can read them. Thats why Im hoping there is some sort of template.
Ive just added 1 waypoint into the GPS then transfered it with SD to my computer so I can copy the format ......but......now I need to find out what type of program I need on my computer to open it?

Just downloaded this myself and had a play with it, I was able to enter new waypoints and save then to my saved waypoint file on the SD card.

Lowrance
Have you tried the lowrance website?
They used to have free software you could use to manage/create waypoints on your pic and save it to a file the chart plotter will read
