swerage spill

Bloody 3 million lt of sewerage spilt into safety bay department that is responsible says "we are sorry" fucking usless, when I was at Rio we accidently lost 20 lts of engine oil into Hampton Harbour, bloke that did it was hauled over the coals by Rio and the environmental dept.
When I pushed a 20 kg lead acid Battery into the ocean rather than risk the jump back onto the pilot boat with it in my arms in 35 knots winds and a 4 meter swell from a navigation Buoy , I was nearly sacked by Rio and was investigated by the environmental dept, (thanks woodside , they provided the pilot boat and the skipper that dobbed me in) it was only after I took the complaint to Rio fair treatment and pointed out "whats more important me or a fucked battery" they backed off . Environmental dept issued me with a warning

Same thing happened to me at the yacht club. Did an oil change and upgraded the batteries on the boat. Way out on the end of D jetty. I was knackered by the end of it, and my back was killing from being in a confined space for so long. Some prick had pinched the trolly I was going to use to carry the 20 litres of oil and 4 batterires back with. No way I was going to carry them all the way back. That would be dangerous to my health, so I made a lump with them under my boat. Bloody club was not happy. Kicked me out. Can you believe it!! Shame I used to love catching crabs there. Though I did notice the crabs were getting harder to catch. Don't know what that could be from as I had thrown heaps of shit in the water for them to make habitat out of. Some things never cease to amaze.

Yes peter, but yours was a deliberate act. This was a mechanical fault, which the emergency outlet is the drain to the ocean.

i hope if Notorious is liking his safety bay squid he caught the other day. They did look a little more brown than usual.

yes was deliberate

so what was I to do risk getting squashed between the pilot boat and the navigation bouy jumping back aboard the boat in shocking weather conditions with the battery . Sorry Michael but I think my safety is more important than a lead acid battery that will end up in land fill anyway .

Double Standards

Fri, 2015-05-29 09:33

I would have thought dumping 3 million litres of raw sewage over 3 days would be classed as deliberate act.

Mechanical fault or not, why did it take 3 days to find?
