hi, when me and my mate went to a remote part of the swan river a few months ago, we saw mullet jumping, what type are the ones that you see in the swan river?

Blind mullet
You know if its a blind mullet by its calling card left on your fingers as it slips through.

There are heaps of yellow eyed pilchard in the river they look
similar to mullet just wondering if maybe thats what you were seeing i used to catch heaps at the maylands jetty and they also like to jump alot - good for live mulloway bait

Sorry i made a mistake - my mate called them "pilchards when we
caught them but they are in fact yellow eyed mullet (sorry my bad) we used to catch them on small hooks with a small piece of whitebait about 1cm x 1cm cube on a dropper rig straight down on the front of the jetty in the early afternoon around 2 to 4 pm for some reason they never came onto the bite before or after that time. You will get alot of trumpeter and blowies as well
