Settling In

Well after a hectic two months, with no fishing done whats so ever. Finally settled in at the new house/job to the point where fishing is back on the radar.

Slipped out late yesterday arvo to an old spot I haven't fished for the better part of a decade. Live bait was the order of the day so out came the light line, small hooks and red meat. 60 minutes later had 20 nice livies in the bucket and it was time to reacquaint myself with 'lates calcarifer'.

In between the ever present catties I pulled two nice barra. A 660mm fish that I released in the hope of getting something a bit better, and finally a nice 740mm fish that I kept.

Nice way to settle in. Just need some decent rain now to crank the run-off period right up.
