yo,
what sites are you blokes using for your sea surface temperatures these days? most of the ones that are easy to find aren't detailed enough, can't be zoomed in, or are out of date.

The best I have found is ocean-grids.csiro.au/
Select "near real-time" option and look for a recent map that shows imagery in your area (in red). The maps are patchy due to cloud cover.
Then set your temp range at top of map. I find that currently a range of 18 or 19C to 23 or 24C is about right for Metro area.
You can zoom the map with mouse wheel.
Edit: Just a quick note, I think you have to click on the map after you change temp range to get it to update

I use this
I use this site:
http://oceancurrent.imos.org.au/sst.php
Just click on the rectangle for your area.
The temperatures can fluctuate pretty wildly if there is cloud cover around, but the points are every couple of hours so you can go backwards and forwards in time to get a better idea of what's happening.
