scaly mackeral woodmans point advice

hi
heading to woodmans point today to try and stock up on crab bait for the nets
planing on using the sabiki rig with burley
what time of the day i should go?
and is the sabiki rig the best method to use catching them?

any help would be appreciated

 Generally they are there all day but late early (ish) morning seems to be the best for me because they are not full yet because sometimes the amount of burly that get put in the water fills them up.
