The biggest loser will be freos aligned club in the wafl, peel which plays in its first final. Wheres the lack of integrity? Freo have earned the right to rest players if it chooses. Thats the benefit of having a top two position sewn up with one game to spare. Dont get all bitter and twisted just because your team hasn't been good enough to earn that same right.

All bullshit aside, history will show that the Dockers are the best side of 2015 and all credit to them, they have deserved it because they did what was needed.
Hopefully, after next weekend, history will show that the two WA teams will be the best in the country though we (eagles) need to make sure we dont let another Gold Coast suns happen.

Both WA teams not full paced this weekend. Eagles I dont know why asleep but showed they could wake up when needed, and then backed the pace off again when the game was gone. Not as bad as most would think.

I tend to agree. 5 goals zip in the second quater once they woke up. They played most of the game like it didnt matter, which in reality, it didnt.

But that game does matter because tbe eagles could still finish as low as 4th. I would suggest that the crows may have coasted a bit in the second. No team can keep that pace up for 4 quarters.
And freo not full paced? No they werent. But when you kick the first ten goals of the game you dont need to be.
What was good to see is the back six back to its best. Demons had as many if not more inside 50s in the first quarter but couldnt score. Johnson and luke looked very strong and dawson kept hogan quiet.
Ibbo was a good alternative target up front.
Mayne back to his manic best. Barra and cowboy workhorses in the middle and danyle pearce penetrating. And his goal off the outside of his boot off one step was great to watch.

first they may have gotten too confident , they have won the first two games in adelaide , after last weeks win at home , thought yep easy , however wooshas influence and inside knowledge of our team may have combined to catch them out in the first quarter , they never really caught that up it seems , you cant give away starts like that to good teams
especially if they come off the back of 4 hard games in a row against top teams over the previous weeks
it was a good reminder to re focus and take up the hunt , nothing is a gimme ,
while no wc fans wanted it i think yesterdays loss will stand them in good stead leading into the next few weeks games

Your thoughts on jacobs influence in tbe first quarter? Prevented nic no stat giving silver service to the eagles midfield and they got smashed. No stat had a better 2nd quarter and the eagles got more of the footy. Both hawthorn and the eagles have struggled against teams that beat them in contested possession. Its a concern if nic nat comes up against quality ruckmen (hale/mcevoy, sandi, goldstein, maric, jacobs....) that your midfield wont get silver service. If it becomes a contested ground ball situation..... round 3? round 22?....

dont think that was it. The problem was adelaides spread and transition was soooooo bloody fast it caught out our undersize and inexperienced backs . Honestly our game plan really isnt that great it depends on setting up the weagle web. As long as your skills are smooth and you move the footy quick any team can catch us out. The other issue was disposal efficiency cluldnt hit a handpads from 5 m and finally out discipline

Well I didn't see the game and I have no credibility
but, yes the Eagles disposal efficiency from some of the stats I saw afterwards was way down. I believe the Crows made us pay heavily as a result of quite a few turnovers being turned into goals which didn't help our cause.
The Crows had a heap more disposals - handballs and kicks too, so they had the ball most of the time (especially early on when the main damage was done) and it seems ran the ball into an open forward line with too much ease where Jenkins was just too big and strong for his opponents.
The Crows were certainly pumped up right from the start, whereas the Eagles were very flat and if you get a start like that it is very hard to peg back, as we saw in round 3 this year.
As with any team, if you subject them to sufficient pressure and use the ball well when you get your hands on it, you're half way there. Hopefully the Eagles will learn from that, although I'm quite optomistic that when we get a few of our quality defenders back we will be even harder to beat.
Adelaide were just too good on the day, as were the hawks in tassie when they towelled up the Dockers.
