River Tides

Went for a paddle along Blackwall Reach last night on a supposed big incoming tide, and it seemed to be going the other way?? We went to the other bank and again, it seemed to be flowing out if anything? This has happened the last few times ive been along this stretch and i'm really confused as to what is going on?
Anyone have any insight into this?

Ive noticed early in the mornings when i go to work (Between 6-7am) that the water level has been very low... along the Kwinana Fwy that is...
Not seen it that low in a while.

I've
posted the Leeman ramps in September (towards the end of the month) as you can see the water was way out, the locals reckon its the lowest they've seen the water in a long long time. My late Nanna always blamed men going on the moon he he. Wee hen she used to say to me, tamper with things and see what happens.
