I used to own one years ago
I used to own one years ago , they are very similar to the old westerberg hulls . They can slap a bit due to a pretty flat hull but mine was tough and well built . The main thing to look at would be electrolysis in a hull that age and check the transom for cracks around the motor area.

Bucket
Been for a ride in a few Koolan craft and IMO they are a bucket of pus, shocking ride, wet and prone to drop off the plane and wallow like a pig

Phew ! Pretty damning
Phew ! Pretty damning Carnarvonite !!
I've had my 18'6" Reefa for 16 years, and loveit.
Yep its alloy so the ride is not the same as fibreglass but I reckon its a good shape.
My mate gets wet regularly in his Westerberg while I'm dry.
Hull is built strong.Have fished up North and offshore to 30 km ..pick my days as you would anyway.
Mine was built in Malaga and I went up a few times to check it out ... web framing is solid and fully welded.
I use it 2 or 3 times a week min . Have a 115 Yammy 4 str which is great too.
Very happy...
