Old School Snyder Rods
Submitted by Jackfrost80 on Sat, 2017-12-16 19:10
The old man is about to sell his old school Snyder FG rods one being around 12' and the other being around 9' and in pretty mind condition along with a few old Alveys.
Does anyone have an idea of how much the rods would be worth?

Just be careful if using
Just be careful if using mono, the old style runners might not be able to handle braid lines of today, and the old school rods dont have the fast tapers and light weights of todays rods but they are good rods for sure.

Yep, they made a good blank back in the day. I’ve had 2 or 3 over the journey

Got 2
Got 2 and hanging onto them.
Had them built for me about 30 years ago and still use them when i head north.
One has two winch positions so i can throw on an Alvey for surf work.
Dont let em go Jack, worth more to you as a family heirloom and using them, than selling them to someone who will get a great buy.

Cheers for the feedback
Cheers for the feedback gents. I'll take a pic of the details on the blank when I pop round there over the next few days and post it up.
I used to use these bad boys from about age 12-16 even with an alvey before dad bought me my own beach rod but can't say I am particularly attached to them and they've just been gathering dust in the old boy's rafters for about 20 years so he's keen to move them on.
