N.S Blackhole Blackwater Egi Rod

hey guys, ive made a few egi forums before and got advice and now ive finally went and tried a rod. I was eging with my normal rod and another fisherman was near me who was also eging and he looked like he knew what he was doing (im still pretty bad at egi) so i asked him about his rod and it was the NS blackhole the one i was opting for so i asked if i could have a try, he let me it felt sturdy and had god action and weight.

so my point is have any of you had the rod and is it durable and reliable? And i cant find out if its carbon or graphite or something else if its carbon ive never had a carbon rod what is different with them

Thanks For All The Help On The Egi Forums Ive Made

To be honest mate the squid won't care what rod or reel you have as long as you have the right brand and coloured jig that is in fashion and you must spend at least 50 dollars a jig to even count as a serious squid fisherman. Point being spend more time actually trying to catch them and have some fun rather than worrying about what is the in vogue  'egi' combo that week

If depends on where you are

If depends on where you are going to fish, if you are fishing off the rocks, it would be good to get a 8.3 feet rod.

I fish off the jetty at rockingham and i have a 6.9 feet rod.

my catch with a short rod but with the right jigs, Red Harimitsu jigs, kek.

Come on Alex

surely it's time to put the words into action and get out there and actually have a crack at these beloved squid you speak of. And when you do manage to catch some, put a post up with some pics and a general summary of the days / nights fishing. Forum members will be far more willing to share info and tips if you contribute with more hand on fishing reports, as opposed to asking a hundred and one questions.

Get out out there and get amongst it!
