This time of the year it drives me mad looking at my boat when I can,t use it due to, wrong wind conditions, bad weather etc.

Same same...if its not work...its taxi driving kids...or its wind.
Usually find a half day session most Sunday mornings or an evening anchor and burley session anytime from Thursday through to Sunday.
But always enjoy winter...better winds / seas than summer, bit of rain and cloud is not a problem, just need to watch the swell in the shallows.

I planned to go out last Friday but found my lights not working on my trailer, after a lot of looking and redoing my wires to the lights up back in case water had got in, which wasn't the case, found all my wires into the back of the plug were pulled out. Not just 1, but all of them. Somebody must have given them a yank just for fun. This Friday hopefully.

Weird weather last 12 months. Gotta just keep the boat in defcon 1 status and go when its good. Nights have been better than days.

I got out today looking to pick up some whiting, but couldn't get past juvenile pinkies, tried moving, the bastards followed me. All around the 30cm mark, so they were fun on the light gear. Couple of huge blues got snagged, but the sound is still closed to taking crabs, so they went back. A fairly strong and unexpected sea breeze came in around 10:30 and that gave me an uncomfortable trip back to Palm Beach punching into the slop. Once I got past the grain jetty I got protection from the land and was able the open up the throttle again.
