New 20lb rod?

Ok if you read this thread, you realise I snapped my Daiwa Saltwater 20lb rod. I had it matched to a Daiwa Sol 4000 with YGK Powerhunter on it.

I bought it very recently for SPs, it has had a small 60g jig one it once, but the I also have an Xyoga PE3 for that sort of bizzo although I did notice that working a light jig on that rod in shallow water is really hard.

Anyone bought anything good and new lately that they would recommend?

5 - 10kg. It's a nice stick.

Pricey

A bit pricey but I've been hammering a Saltiga Dorado 70S for 18+ months now and its bloody brilliant. Best fish so far with a 3500 game is a 40lb longtail. Very forgiving if you lend it to a newbie and they occasionally high stick it! Grrr

Hmm both interesting choices but I think the Saltiga is a bit expensive for me after failing to look after my gear =(
I may get another saltwater and then perhaps look for a pe2 spin jig blank and reuse all my guides from the busted one.
Anyone tried that Berkley Dropshot Diablo 6-10kg?

But I have seen them in the shops and they have featured a number of times on the Fishing Trip TV show. They look pretty good.

The Pflueger Trions also look quite nice as do the Berkley pro Tactics.

Till, only a cheapy at ~$120

Till, only a cheapy at ~$120 but i got a Shimano Nexave recently and it seems a nice rod. At 7ft probably too long for the jigging "purists" but it does the job and also works very very well with soft plastics.

Got it matched to a 4000 size Diawa reel with 20lb YGK line like you.

Cheers
Steve
