Took #1 son with me last night for a quick session. Ended up with herring. Yellow fin whiting, a tarwhine and a 500mm flatty. All on blue sardines.

Weed bed?
Yeah it was black as. The only thing I thought is that was hanging around over the weed beds.
After cleaning it yesterday it was also full of eggs. Such a pity. I had a set and forget rig out with a strip of herring on it, so I must have landed it on the edge of a weed bank or something.
There was a bit of floating weed but nothing to really write about to complain...thats the ocean for you.
I fished the carpark a few hundred metres from the shacks.
The reasonable (fish and chip oiled) burley mix in play got the fish interested.
