Metro sharks

 Hey everyone

I want to get into some metro sharks this season starting this saturday, as im failry new to shark fishing i was wondering what rig do I use if im going to balloon baits out? At the moment i have a tyrnos 30 with a full spool of 60lb braid and then about 50m of 80lb leader, i was also wondering if anyone wants to meet up for a shark bash sometime this summer (im prepared to stay somewhere all night if we have to)

Cheers in advance

Vinnie

80lb braid too 3m or so of 100lb mono to

49 strand wire !! With the hooks barb filed down !

Average too hook ups a session !! Mind you after

20/30mins fighting these beasts ya pretty stuffed !!

last shark for season was a 3m tiger which towed us

round for a while !! Had some big bust offs so god knows

what they were !! Your welcome to join me one night !!

Just gotta let this water heat up a bit !! Another good

sign is when the stupid news on the tv starts showing

all these tigers and hammers crusing up and down and them making

a big deal out of it !! Cheers vinnie !! Pirate !!

Also what are the best baits to use to target them? i know the fresher the better, but do live baits work better or dead baits?

Dead as !!

Thu, 2015-11-05 18:42

I use dead baits buddy !! Normally butterfly up a

tailor or pike of reasonable size !! And I run high

oil burley !! All catch and release hence the hooks

barb removed !! For all the greenies !!

ahah cheers mate! I should be able to hold on, ive had plenty of experience with big rays, but they would probably fight a bit different to a larger shark.
