marble bar to karatha in the wet season

i know theres a few locals from the pilbara on here im gunna need to get from marble bar near work to karratha in the wet season to pick up my boat i know whats going to happen with the shaw river you can bet the port hedland -marble bar rd will be closed same as last year is there another way to get to karratha without getting stuck or should i leave my boat at home way down south of perth at that time of the year any help will be much appreciated thanks

It will only be closed for a couple of days at a time if a cyclone comes through and floods. So usually no problem unless it lines up with one of those events.
Does anyone know where the love of god goes, when the waves turn the minutes to hours?

I work at Telfer which is only a couple hundred kays from marble bar and last wet season we copped loads of rain, the roads in and out were closed for up to two weeks at a time. Big risk to take I reckon.
