Maningrida NT

I know it isn't cheap but has anyone on the site been there (they had a stand at the boat show) - thinking of hitting the place during the build up next year

The Arhnemland Barra Nature Lodge as Brad says run by AJ, never been there (a bit out of my price range) but you could pretty much guarantee it'd be GOOOD. Good barra fishing even thru the winter months.

Stopped in there at the airport on my way over to Elcho Island a few times but haven't been to the lodge..

Lived in Galiwinku for a while which is to the west of Maningreda on Elcho Island, it's an awesome area of our country, definately recommend heading up that way to the barra lodge, would be a trip of a life time! Expensive, but hey, it's only money! Got my meter barra during the build up 2 years ago, best time to go! Look forward to hearing a report if you end up going mate! Good luck!

No it isn't cheap but you cant take it with you and when the other half says she would like to go I would be mad not to take the opportunity particularly after a flaming terrible ((no it was worse than that) exclusive and expensive charter two years ago where the biggest fish we saw was a small cod - and they selected where we went in the territory.
