about ten years ago i brought a map of mandurah waters that was hand drawn....It showed where all the different species could be caught..The one i had was in colour...I have since lost it and cant remember where i brought it from...Anybody know of this map and where to buy it from...??
Cheers..

Yep, know the one...
...but no, can't really help you, other than to say I got mine about twelve years ago from Mandurah Fishing and Camping World, which has since closed its doors. Maybe ring Tuckeys Tackle?

Yep had one too
got mine from the tackle shop next to the old traffic bridge but that was a very long time ago ....... I think it was made by old man Dawesville and if I'm not mistaken they have a takle shop near the cut ....... Good luck if you find one .......
I let mine go when I sold the boat

Tackle shop by bridge...
...was Tuckeys old(possibly original?) location, so good chance they might know if any more maps are about!

If it's the same one I'm
If it's the same one I'm thinking of a mate of mine has got one. It's the only one I've seen. Did it have what kind of ground were fishing on?

Yes it does...
...lumps, limestone, coral, weed, etc, all colour-coded...also gives compass headings and distances to these areas! Information came from a combination of experienced rec and pro fishos.

My Pop coulda drawn such a map but sadly I only got into boat fishing when he was on his last legs. The stuff he did teach me though still holds me in good stead today. We used to pump worms at Dolphin Pool and then go catch stonking KGW off the New Bridge in the middle of people catching nothing and his home bred wogs used to fill buckets of herring just around the corner from Blue Bay. He was also the crab whisperer and we didn't have to do more than a few runs to feed the family at Xmas. A Mandurah legend was Ray Gieve in fishing, golf and bowls.

Yeah it sounds like the same
Yeah it sounds like the same one. It's over 20 years old as it didn't have the dawesville cut on it. I will ask him next time I see him and see if he's still got it.
