Live Bait Tank Help
Submitted by Seaquest on Sat, 2010-01-16 08:29
After some suggestions for a live bait tank set up. I have a small seat on the boat which is roughly 800mm long x 600mm wide x 600mm high that I want to convert to a live bait tank. Live bait will range from herring to small salmon.
Cheers

What is the seat made from?
What is the seat made from? You need to get rid of the corners, these are what kill the fish quickly.

Hmm, perhaps a fibreglass
Hmm, perhaps a fibreglass insert then?
Once you have that out of the way, then perhaps check one of the boaty stores for a livewell pump kit or the like.

Circular
Yeah you really want a circular insert or at least curved pieces where the existing corners are to ensure the water constantly circulates in the tank without any 'dead' spots.

Npot even that so much as
Npot even that so much as the fish are pretty stupid and its running into corners that kills them. At least they're going to swim around in circles a little better than squares.
