Launching Gracetown

Hi fellow fishos, In the next few weeks I wanna try and head out of gracetown for the first time. I usually launch in the geo bay but wanna try and launch closer to Margies. I believe it is pretty unforgiving launching from this boat ramp. Can anyone give me some advise on conditions, which route to head out with? I have an18ft runabout. Thanks in advance

Gracetown ramp
gday mate I launch out of gracetown all the time the ramp is fine can get a bit surgy over 2m swell but you'll have no dramas I do it solo in a 16ft glass boat. once you launch head straight out towards the moorings as there shallow reef either side of the ramp/jetty once you hit the moorings there's channel markers up on the hill to guide you out between north point and centres, it can break across the channel in swell over about 3m. Good luck plenty of good ground out there

I'll second that but like said don't go if swell is over 2m for your first time.
