Was looking for witticarra creek, and couldn't find it

Is it in the ocean, or in the river

And is it the beach between red bluff and the river mouth

 -the creek isn't open to the sea most of the time, likely to just be mud when you are there. There is carparking amongst the she-oaks and it is only a 100 metres or so walk.  Well-known tailor spot. The odd good fish gets caught from the rocks on the south end of the beach at red Bluff, too. Snapper are a chance morning or evening, just a few metres from where you park your car. For mulloway, you are better off crossing the river and fishing over at Frustration, at the north end of Oyster reef. if you can't borrow a dinghy, the boat hire will ferry you across for a nominal fee if he is open. Better fishing and less people than Wittecarra. Inside the mouth at Chinamans is also an option at night--not much going but blowies during the day, but, particularly if the swell is up and the water stirred up, mulloway and big tailor always a chance. 

If you feel up to some exercise and want to rock fish, there are usually good fish to be had off various spots down along the cliffs. Or, if you really want to max your chance of a big mulloway, book with Tangles for a guided trip up the beach north of the river.

On our recent trip up there we found the tailor were biting on high tide which was around lunchtime. Fish bite times around white water with sinking stickbaits, poppers or shallow divers and you should do well.

For sharks try sliding or even cast baits at wittecara or red bluff beach. Same for mulloway unless you can get across the river.
