Garmin echomap 9sv

hey guys,

I'm looking at buying a Garmin echomap and was wondering if I get one from the US will it still work or is there geofencing and will Garmin Australia still honour the warranty?

No idea if they are geo fenced but unlikely that Garmin Australia will honour the warranty.
If you buy it from someone in the states your warranty is with them so you would need to send it back there.
With the dollar where it is I wouldnt have thought it would even be worth it

You would have to check with Garmin to find out if they honour grey market imports for warranty.

How much cheaper can you get it overseas? By the time you add up the crappy aus dollar, import duty plus GST for being over $1000 and freight are you going to be way in front of the locals that seem to range between $1500 and $1600?
