collingwood- I think this is winnable if they pull their fingers out
from this a top 4 spot looks unlikely
Freo probably wont beat adelaide this week but will beat melbourne and richmond, really ned to beat north melbourne also.
If essendon lose to Adelaide today by more than 4 goals (likely) freo will be in 8th spot. the verdict for freo is win 3 of those games and it should be enough to play finals so long as essendon continue their poor form

To much instabillity in the eagles team at the moment with the injuries and the suspentions, no excuse but, the players out there need to pull their fingers out therwise theres no point even making the finals.Freo outplayed the eagles yesterday,but the umpires were obviosly feeling sorry for the purple poofs so had to help them,also might be a few suspensions coming the dorkers way.That will be handy coming into the finals with must win games ahead.Thats ok because they played their grandfinal yesterday. twice on TV the eagles were captured swearing at the umpires and had 50's or free kicks reversed,Poor discipline theres no way woosha would be happy with that, duck your head into a players shoulder you wont get sympathy anymore the umpires have woken up. . When Coxy started pointing at the ump and threatening I would think he would be pretty embarrassed about that in hindsight. there were a few toys getting thrown out of the pram when things didnt go there way yesterday. As always the umpires protect the player thats first to the football and having a crack, the eagles were mostly second yesterday

Sabre if your going to foolish enough beleive what the comentators say as Gospel then go ahaead. Plenty of times in that game the eastern staters struggled to get the names of players right, those guys try to make a story out of nothing.... Its pretty easy to critisise a team thats losing with comments like "they arent working hard enough" etc and thats all 3/4 of them seem to do these days. The head chuckers are going to suffer from boy who cried wolf becasue they do it all the time and the umpires are over it, they get reviewed after each game and have no doubt been spoken too about this. Anyway how long can you go on about umpiring facts a facts 10 goal thumping!

just read the deal on Pharlin, I dont know just when you think its gone a bit soft Deboer get let off with a reprimand for kicking Kerr in the balls(deserving). Yet McPharlin was going at the football and as darling got to it first he threw the shoulder in for contact fair bump play on. Even the MRP stated it wasnt head high contct so its in play whats the problem?

Ahh , mate you should take your own advice
and have some idea what your on about - It was front on contact that is not allowed, specifically when someone is making a play for the ball. It was catergorised as negligent contact because it was not deemed reckless or intentional, given the circumstances. Also it was rated as low impact because of the outcome of the contact, which is based largely on medical reports from the victim club, so to speak, in the case WCE. So if anything, WCE have helped his cause in the end - the fact remains though, it is irrelevant whether or not it hit him in the head or shoulder - it is front on - so what do you think about them apples (hows the rule book looking now).

Big difference between an accidental kick in the goolies when De Boer was trying to stop Kerr taking off and Shueys deliberate elbow when the blokes was standing over him and the footy was long gone. Was going to say the ball but thats a bit of a sore point.

Come on John! The replay clearly shows Kerr with the balll under his arm. De Boer only had one thing in mind and that was to down Kerr and it probably would have suited him more if he broke his leg. Probably would have suited a lot of other one eyed supporters too.

The wash out from all of this is that the Eagles copped a deserved thumping but we are pretty gracefull about it. Did we sit there and carry on when Glass got done? You talk about umpiring and MRC technicalities and yet you make statements like "Kerr kick in the nuts deserved"? How can anyone with any claim to credibility make such a comment? Pav is a protected species and will always fade into the background when it comes to scrutiny. Same can be said for some of the other big names around the place pushing for a Brownlow.
Honestly, sometimes I really worry about some of you guys. There is an inch between the shoulder and the neck and a shoulder high tackle is illegal. A negligent front on to the shoulder will mostly drive itself upward to the head region so it's illegal IMO. Wait till I see your next patanoster Rig.. I'll give you heaps about it LOL.

Recall State Under 21 Rugby Comp in Melbourne. Warm up games in Canberra. After the game vs ACT all went to Royal's Rugby League Club. Man that was a sight for eyes coming from Amatuer Rugby. And then to have a person like Mal Meninga buying you a beer or 2, then Tequila Sunrise"s. Who are you as a pip squick youngster going to refuse for long.
End results, 4 off us, smashed as a feather weight against Tyson, trying to turn up for Training 8am on a fking freezing Canberra oval.
Banned all 4 for next game. Deserved. But it happens so easy. Looking back, I am glad I had a beer with Mal. Not sure about the Sunrises, but hell he was a good bloke. I understand the term off a technicolor yawn well, doing that to the coach I think was a mistake!!!!
These "legends" are just young kids, and every now and then they will act like it. Cop the flack, get over it, learn and move on.
I never did that again and hope they learn. But I was not a legend, not famous etc. I think they cop a hell off a deal being so scrutinized. Sure glad I wasn"t one off them.

But that's the difference Crasny. These guys are supposed proffesionals earning big $$$. They are warned and warned and still do it. It's the way of the world I suppose and there are always tools and fools. I travel offshore to drilling rigs and you are breathalised before you board the chopper. The last time I went out an older guy in front of me blew over, instant dismissal make your own way home. I don't have much sympathy for them. How old is Dane Swan definately not a kid. Talk about letting your mates down I'm glad his team mates had the balls to question his behavior.

And have no feelings for the PIES. But its us that pressure them, and like us they are just human and prone to everything human. Would never have thought Cuz would have gone there. Now another "superstar" in Swan.
