hey all

my self a mate soro and fellow member LB decided to hit the water today for the first fish of the new season. i couldnt wait to get out there after the last fishing trip i had ther day before the season closed when i broke my steering cable. we headed out i decided to head up to a few spots off coronation beach which is north of gero. we got a few miles off this lump so we put some lures on to see if there was any maks around. a few minutes later the spool was screaming BINGO i thought this was going to be a great start to the day. as soro grabbed the rod and tryed to det the hook it pulled out, arh well never mind we set the lures again and got another hit and lost it again. i wasnt happy. so we pulled up on this spot and dropped the bottom gear an hour later nothing so i new it was time to change spot.

 we head off in search of some maks again as well as trying to come across some ground, we headed in close and there was this old waypoint in the gps so we gave it a go. within ten LB was on to a nice fish a couple of minutes later he landed his first nice dhuy. so we went around again and same spot soro and LB both hook up they both got pinks. wat was going on i wasnt even getting a touch. not long after they landed another pinkie each i got some thing sweet i thought it was great, until i got it the surface F$cken bolt cutters. thats like rubbing salt into a wound. i thought we'd gi ve it one more try to try and get our 6 fish. the lines went down we started jigging and bang LB had hook another decent sized fish i couldnt believe it i was only a couple of metres away and he got it, that sucks. a couple of minutes later he had a second dhuy on the boat we had our six fish so i said lets head in, we trowled some lures on the way home but nothing want to eat them.

a good result for the to bad i couldnt get one, thats fishing?
