Fishing shirts for kids ?
Submitted by Dan on Wed, 2012-10-17 09:38
Hi All,
I'm taking my young bloke up north in a few weeks for a camping/fishing trip.
Whilst not the greatest fashion statement - the columbia style long sleeve, vented, collared shirts I believe are a must have when fishing long hours in the sun. I wear them religiously
Been looking for some small ones for my son - with very little success !! - have checked most of the chain stores; but no luck
anyone seen them anywhere, or suggest somewhere to look ? need sizes 5-6
cheers

I wanted to get some with FW logos as well, but struggled to find any stockists and all became too hard. :(

thanks Leemo, they look great
thanks Leemo,
they look great - but crikey - they're not cheap !! - little buggers grow too quick and outgrow them in no time !!
Found a columbia one in Anaconda yesterday..... $90 !!!
I'm sure someone's pumping these out of China for $2 each....

small price to pay for good
small price to pay for good sun protection IMO but yes they are pricey, i wear columbia shirts fishing to protect me from the sun and when my boys are old enough to fish with me so will they (depending if i can find their size)

have a look in big golf
have a look in big golf shops have some good shirts for sun fun
getting the bottom line final answer from a bunch of blokes that use false names and put smiley faces at the end of paragraphs is not the best place in the world to get the information you seek.

Dont want to let too much out
Dont want to let too much out of the bag but keep on the lookout for a new fishing dedicated clothing label out soon hopefully. UV 50+ microfibre shirts, light, comfortable, quick drying, breathe well- Local company and wont cost the earth. Hopefully buffs, hats and tees as well. Will take a look into childrens shirts as well too since I have a little one now!
