Fishing holiday in Mandurah...Any tips??

hey all i'm new to this site and fishing really,, lived away from the ocean and haven't really gone fishing much.. I'm going to mandurah in a few weeks on a fishing trip staying in san remo and was wondering if anyone could give me help or tips on fishing..eg spots, baits etc. any help would be appreciated!! :D

smiling jacks lures that you can get from Tuckeys tackle work very well for tailor and herring. Do you have a boat?
Theres absolutely nothin like hookin up to the first biggun of the day. JACKO W.

just came back from mandurah
just came back from mandurah went scooping this morning and got 8 decent size crabs between the 3 of us in about 2 hours and fished the dawsville cut last night and got heaps of herring and 6 squid. saw some people getting into some tailor to.

Mandurah!
Spent last week down there. Plenty of crabs in the cut, good sizes too. Tailor are thick at Madora, San Remo and Silver Sands but majority undersize.
Fishing Miami was better with fish averaging 35ish cm.
Yellowfin whiting are big and plentyful in the gutters at singleton early morn.
Also plenty of bonnet sized rays to play with a night along the beaches for some fun!

San Remo
Ditto to Samc, spent 2 hours at San Remo tonight 6pm-8pm landed 12 tailor, only one hit 32 but released him to fight another day, he was right on sunset aswell, the choppers seemed to hang around til about 8 then got to windy, but its good fun just throwing a weighted mulie out and having a little battle..
park in the carpark at the end of Eros place walk down the stairs and try and find a spare spot, haha.

Was down there this week,
Was down there this week, went out on the boat on tuesday, launched at around 7 30 but was back by 9 15 as we already had out likit of crabs, good crabbing this year.
Also went fishing in the cut, right up the top by the estuary, the area is not accesible by car, so we cycled, decent fishing, found a sand spot and got a few whiting, small snapper, small bream and a flounder, so fishing is good.
Used prawn for back with just a simple rig, a crossline swivel with a weight on the bottom and a small long shank hook.

got back from mandurah afer
got back from mandurah afer an overnight camp late this afternoon. cleaned up on the crabs getting more than the limit on boh days (only taking the biggest 1s). and got some absolute whoppers. try the old traffick bridge late arvo its a common spot but always get a good feed. found the bream hard to locate in the murry only landing 2 fish with 1 33cm the other 35cm. and you always get a feed bread and butter speceis in the cut.
