Hey Guys, caught this little fella on the the Monday public holiday near Lancelin,
Is this a Diamond Trevalley ?
Gave a good account of itself as well for a small fish !
Would also be amazing to see this fish while diving.

Pennantfish
I am confident that this is a subadult Pennantfish Alectis ciliaris. The Diamond Trevally A. indica is very similar, but the forehead is flatter (vs rounded in Pennantfish & photo) and the distance between the upper jaw and the eye is greater in Diamond Trevally (in DT the distance is approx the same as the length of upper jaw; in PF & your photo, it is less than the length of the upper jaw). Also, the ventral fins (the ones under your right hand) would be much longer in a DT of this age/size).
This is a young one - lost most of its juvenile characteristics, but still not lost its long fins. They get to more than a metre and weight over 10kg. Great looking fish - nice catch!
