Finally got it wet

Finally got to take the swifty out on the water. Only in the estury but its salty.
Put the crab nets in but mullet dont stay in the nets for long. Got 1 keeper out of the nets and a couple with the scoop.
Ended with only 2 mullet the car bonnet rays didnt chew up and dragging the net with them . In the end we got a feed and the boat hit the water and ran well. Had a bit of a picnic while out there as well. Headed in just on dark not knowing the waters were just playing it safe.

A bit puzzled
I'm a bit puzzled by your comment "mullet wouldn't stay in net, what size mesh are you using.
Great to see you on the water with the boat, let the good times roll.

Sorry prob not worded right. the frozen mullet we used for crab bait wouldnt stay in the crab nets.
altho the fresh mullet didnt stay in the net long either with the big rays having a feed.
yeah was good to get out . looking forward to an ocean trip to give it a good test.
my net is a 3" . prob should have gone next size down but only getting big mullet and some of the ones ive got have been over 1kg
