Fave was homebrew for a while but need a bit of a break so had a few tooheys new/carlton dry lately, I'm pretty easy really. Oh and love a bit of the turkey as a night cap hangover starter!
Just getting into doin my own brew as well, hardest bit is waiting four weeks after bottling to drink em. Smashed back a cpl of wheaties out of desperation from a 2 week vintage, yesterday while waiting for the lines at the ramp to die down. strong stuff i tells ya
loads of different beers over here fellas...i do like the little creatures beers and also the boags stuff, tooheys is drinkable and so is corona....but real ale all the way, or a local homebrew cider!!!
Too many to choose. Had a Indi white at mindarie marina the other day... very nice brew. But love, becks & coopers pale ale... heini's & carlton mid. Not too fussy though.
I like to brew my own at Billabong and choose Knappstein, bright ale or a Pilsner. I like to do a different brew each time so when I rebrew one it is that little bit more appreciated. Been doing this for 6yrs now. Another top bear if you can find it is Bluetongue pils or lager and they do a ginger beer (which is a beer I would never drink) but I have been told by "ranga beer" drinkers its great.
I'll drink any beer as long as it hasn't got a bird on the label. Jesus.... I'd go so far as to say if anyone offered me an emu export I would have a cuppa tea instead. Seriously though stella, becks for the O/S beers and Coopers sparkling, or tassie beers for the local stuff.
and west end draught - why anyone would consume either willingly is beyond comprehension. They had to truck water in from Melbourne (of all places) to freeze for Disney on Ice cos the local water was a mucky poo brown when frozen.
There is only one beer worse than west end and that is SOUTHWARK BITTER.Not sure if they came from the same sewer pipe and received different labels but they are streets ahead in the worst beer in the WORLD,no OZ,competition.
Give you one thing Tim,you're a brave man to drink it and admit it!!!!
was in FNQ (cairns), about 42C after a long day of a convention in an old school foam stubby holder. Granted I would have drunk my own urine if it was cold, but I tell you after 13 hours manning a stand it was gold Jerry - XXXX gold.
The next time I had one was at State of Origin in Sydney and it was horrible. Went straight back to the Bundies.....
Sapporo and Kirin from Japan is the nicest, especially with seafood (make the best tackle, well the beer isnt bad either). Everyday it is the trusty Very Best (VB). Out of favour and not trendy but I dont give a rats ass. It is taste that counts.

we used to live on that stuff in the phillipines and singapore and malaysia. Funny thing is we used to pay 50c a bottle for it. Now in Aus they import the stuff and sell it as "high end" imported beer. $22 a six pack. Dont get me wrong i like the stuff, its just funny how things work.
At u brewit home brewery, you can keep your commercial crap! order it, go back in two weeks and bottle it, taste great no chemical or preservatives so no hang overs regardless of how much you drink, and at about $27 per carton
bloody good value!
Have to agree fish fingers. Been brewing at U Brew It - Busselton for 6 months now and highly recommend it. Great value for your money. One of my favourites is there cream ale, similar to coopers pale ale.
Carlton Dry is my fav at the moment. Enjoy corona's as a morning beer, then carlton dry from 10am onwards. No I'm not an alcoholic - I dont go to meetings
While in Tassie recently I stumbled onto the fact that some of my fav west australian beers have been bought out by fosters/lion nathan. Basically they shut down matilda bay brewery and are produced in Tassie/Melb now. Those on my boycott list include:
Mate, the Fosters Group own most of the major brewreys and the rights to produce alot of the imports. You want to by a good WA made and owned beer - try Occy's in Busselton.

After that it's either Corona or Stella..
Vietnam earlier this year, they serve Corona with Lime, but the wedge of Lime is dipped in Salt. Adds an extra tang to the beer real nice.............

My favourite beer…..well, any of mine. Especially when on the boat and accompanied by fresh seafood.
